Painting houses we know by heart

Washington Township grew fast between the late 1960s and the early 1990s, and the housing shows it: thousands of colonials, split-levels, bi-levels, and ranchers in developments like Heritage Valley, Whitman Square, Wedgewood, the Birches, Bells Lake, Hunters Chase, Peppertree, Lexington Woods, and Washington Square over on the Turnersville side. Jorge has painted inside and outside of all of them. He knows which builders used which trim profiles, where the drywall seams crack in a split-level, and how the aluminum siding on the older Grenloch and Hurffville homes chalks and takes paint once it is cleaned and primed.

That matters because a 1980s Heritage Valley colonial is not a new build. The walls have forty years of nail pops, there is wallpaper under the paint in at least one bathroom, the trim has been painted five times, and the exterior wood trim at the fascia and window casings has been through forty freeze-thaw winters. Our quotes include the prep that these houses actually need, not the prep a new house would need.

What we do in Sewell and Washington Township

  • Interior painting: whole-house repaints before listing, one-room refreshes, two-story foyers, and the trim and doors in between
  • Cabinet painting: the honey oak and raised-panel maple kitchens that went into these developments, sprayed white, greige, or navy
  • Exterior painting: wood and aluminum siding, trim, shutters, front doors, and porch rails, scheduled for the dry months
  • Basement ceiling spraying: the full basements under most township colonials are tall enough to be real rooms once the joists are sprayed black or white
  • Commercial painting for the storefronts and offices along Egg Harbor Road, Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, Delsea Drive, and the Black Horse Pike
  • Power washing, below

Power washing in Washington Township, NJ

If you live on a shaded lot near Washington Lake Park or Grenloch Lake, you already know the north side of the house turns green by June. South Jersey's humid summers feed algae and mildew on vinyl siding, and the mature trees in the older developments keep it damp. We soft wash siding at low pressure so nothing gets forced behind the panels, and we pressure wash the driveways, walks, and patios with a surface cleaner so there are no wand stripes. Most homes are done in a few hours, and we can bundle the siding and concrete in one visit.

Exterior paint and the Gloucester County climate

Washington Township summers run humid, winters swing above and below freezing almost daily, and the sun on a south-facing wall fades color faster than anywhere else on the house. That cycle is what pushes paint off wood trim. Our exterior process is built for it: wash, scrape, prime bare wood, caulk, then two coats of a quality exterior acrylic, painted during the dry window from late spring through early fall. If your development has an HOA color palette, bring it to the estimate and we match it.

Local and easy to reach

We are minutes from the town center at Egg Harbor Road and Greentree Road, with quick access to Route 42, Route 55, and Route 47, so estimates in Sewell, Turnersville, Grenloch, and the surrounding areas are easy to schedule. Ashley answers the phone and texts, and she will tell you honestly whether your street is in our range.

Questions from Washington Township homeowners

Do you serve all of Washington Township, or just Sewell?

All of it: Sewell, Turnersville, Grenloch, Hurffville, Bells Lake, Cross Keys, and the developments in between. We also serve the surrounding areas; call or text and Ashley will confirm your address.

Can you work with my HOA's exterior color rules?

Yes. Several township developments have approved palettes. Bring the list to the estimate and we match the colors exactly.

My house is from the 1980s. Is there anything special about painting it?

Usually more prep: nail pops, cracked seams, old wallpaper, and heavily painted trim are common in township homes from that era. We include that prep in the quote rather than charging for it later.

How soon can you come out for an estimate?

Ashley gets back to you within 48 hours to schedule, and because we are based in the township, the estimate itself is usually within days. You can also book directly on the contact page calendar.

Are you licensed and insured in New Jersey?

Yes. Licensed, bonded, and insured, New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor license NJ HIC #13VH09143600.
